November 21, 2024 - Nestlé and Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods (VDF) have achieved a 15% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in collaboration with 50 dairy farmers within the Tomorrow’s Dairy (formerly Low carbon farming) program. This program marks a new step towards sustainable dairy farming. Currently, 80 dairy farmers have joined this initiative, receiving active support to reduce their footprint. In 2025, the number of participants will double to 150.
October 11 2024 -Sustainable dairy requires a collective chain approach. Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods and Nestlé therefore joined forces in the Low carbon farming programme in 2022. With the ambitious goal of working together with dairy farmers to reduce the carbon footprint of milk by 50 per cent by 2030, compared to 2018. On Thursday 10 October, it was announced that the programme won the 2024 Dutch Logistics Award!
July 13th 2024 - Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods has opened a new warehouse in Barneveld. The modern warehouse has a capacity of more than 10,000 pallet spaces, which means milk powders can now be stored on location.
18 December 2023 - Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods, a specialist in high-quality nutritional powders, is pleased to announce the distribution agreement with International Flavors & Fragrances Inc (IFF) for their innovative product range, SUPRO® PLUS. As Gerben van Schaik, Commercial Director of Vreugdenhil explains, “By entering into this distribution agreement, we are strengthening our long-standing partnership with IFF. We’re proud of that.”
2 August 2023 - Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods has signed a distribution agreement with Cosun Protein for Spain, Japan and South Korea. Cosun Protein is a new, emerging business unit of agricultural cooperative Royal Cosun. They make highly soluble, plant-based proteins that are ideally suited for a wide range of food and beverage applications.
19 July 2023 - Vreugdenhil customers' high ambition of reducing the carbon footprint of milk by 50%. prompted the launch of a four-year programme (PPP) with Wageningen University & Research (WUR).
4 July 2023 - Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods has started producing organic whole and skimmed milk powder for the food industry at its Putten production site. The organic milk is collected from a number of Vreugdenhil suppliers. The chain is fully Skal-certified.
11 May 2023 - Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods has joined as a partner in the Fascinating programme. The two parties will explore how to produce and market new and healthy food in a now rapidly changing market.
13 April 2023 - Nijkerk-based Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods is linking its brand name to a women's marathon speed skating team in the top division for the duration of three years. Vreugdenhil will be co-principal sponsor of the skating team alongside VGR Sport.
13 March 2023 - Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods is now also producing milk powder from goat's milk at its speciality factory in Putten. For now, the powders are made for the Asian and US markets, where the goat milk powder is processed in the cheese and infant food industry.
